This list provides brief details of all new accessions of
archives and manuscripts acquired by Special Collections
between January and December 2006, by loan, gift or
purchase, except for official University Archives and papers
of University Staff and of Alumni; researchers are advised
to make enquiries with the University Archivist for before
making a visit

Those accessions which are additions to existing collections
are marked thus* and in such cases, both the collection
finding number and the accession number for the addition is
given; where the accession is a new collection, only the
finding number is given. In a small number of cases a
finding number has not yet been allocated and only the
accession number is given. An indication is given of the
size of each accession
